The Second Year of Good, Better, Best Love

twoThis year I took a break of about four months from my Friday posts to this blog.  Just as I did for the first year, I thought I would share which posts have been the most popular with readers this second year, as well as share a couple of my favorites.

There Are Three Kinds of Lies was the most popular post for this second year, as well as the first.  I take a well known quote by Mark Twain on lies, and improve on it based on personal observation.  While it was written with the self deception of someone else on my mind, I have since examined myself and found areas where I have deceived myself and am working to remove that denial and deception.

What Separates a Great Boss From a Not-So-Good One? was the second most popular article for the year, and most popular for the time period after my break,  It led to an update – More About Great Bosses.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not was third this year, although written the year before.  It is about the daisy oracle, where petals are plucked from a daisy to determine if you are really loved.  There was an update, Love is a Decision, a Choice – Daisy Oracle 2 with a couple French postcards and a silver stick pin in English modeled on the French version of the daisy oracle.

Bad, Worse, Horrible Love – Abuse – Chapter 2 was fourth and discussed the cycle of abuse and why it is so hard for someone to leave an abusive relationship.

More on Change – The Myth of The Other was fifth and discusses the myth of the other woman, that looking for greener grass does not always address the real issues.

Two of my favorites were number 12 and 13 for the year – Communicating With My Wife Requires an Air Traffic Control Radar and part 2 of that (the cat, chicken, egg, and pig).

Another favorite of mine is Without Shame, where I relate personal knowledge of sexual abuse of children to a Medieval tale of the most important human character trait.

If you haven’t read some of these, I recommend clicking on the links and checking them out.  I‘m starting 2013 by setting some specific goals.  I’m looking to 2013 to be an excellent year with lots of progress on my goals, what about you?

About Mark Gredler

I want to move from Good Love to Better Love, share it, and share the Best Love of God. I like ancient and medieval history, especially of Spain. I like photographing Spanish fiestas, and visiting Romanesque churches, from the 11th to 13th centuries. I enjoy traveling, seeing new places, meeting new friends, taking photographs of that, and want to write more about it all.
